In what feels as American as apple pie, Google paid tribute to the great Saturday Evening Post illustrator, Norman Rockwell. Celebrating Rockwell’s birthday (Rockwell was born on this date in 1894), Google’s logo depicts a young boy and girl on a bench viewing a sunset. The original painting, “Little Spooners”, donned the Post cover in 1926. Rockwell was best known for his ability to extract the true feeling of everyday small town U.S.A.
